About Me in 140 Characters:

I was born and raised just outside of Detroit Michigan where I attended Wayne State University and received my bachelor's in geology. Some of my favorite hobbies include playing ice hockey, hiking, hunting, fishing, and golfing.

Favorite Thing About Being a Multidisciplinary Practitioner:

I thrive on the diversity of opportunities and unique challenges it brings. It’s enabled me to view projects through a wider lens and offer that additional level of value to clients. It’s also given me the opportunity to work with a number of amazing teams within Antea Group and our partners.

What is a key ingredient for success as a multidisciplinary practitioner?

The key ingredient to success in any practice area is forming partnerships with clients. Involving clients directly in the solution process allows them to see in real-time our commitment to meeting their goals and expectations and allows us to tailor solutions to their internal programs and practices.

What’s your favorite part of your job?

Hands down helping clients achieve and at times exceed their goals. Whether it’s a long-term project, emergency request, or a five-minute phone call, turning a problem into a solution is one of the most gratifying and rewarding feelings.

What surprises people about your job?

What surprises people the most (besides the fact I’m a geologist) is the vast number of opportunities I’ve had to support clients throughout the oil and gas, railroad, compliance and remediation, and emergency response practices across North America. I’ve supported some amazing clients in some very unique locations!

What TV show character do you identify most with?

I’m a big fan of Scrubs I’d have to say the character I most identify with would be John Dorian. However, one of my personal favorite quotes comes from another character Bob Kelso “There are no magical fixes. It’s all up to you. Get up, get out there, and start doing the work. Nothing in this world that’s worth having comes easy.” This quote serves as a great example of how we set our own goals and it’s up to us to work for them, that’s what makes achieving them so rewarding.

If you had one month off, where would you go, or what would you do?

When I was in college, I hiked a 50-mile stretch of the Appalachian Trail. While I wouldn’t be able to do the entire trail in a month, I’d certainly like to see how far I could make it before my month was up! In my travels, I’ve also had the opportunity to hike near Salt Lake City, Utah, and Big Bend, Texas.

Is there something unique that people might not know about you? (hobbies, hidden talents, etc.)

I am an avid sportsman and participate in a number of conservation groups that help maintain wildlife habitats and encourage education on the ethical and sustainable harvest of fish and game species. Ensuring that our natural resources are sustained and available for future generations to enjoy is something I am very passionate about.
