On-Site RaaS Health and Safety Support for Alternative Meat Company

An alternative meat manufacturing company’s recent staffing change created a gap in the resources dedicated to improving the health and safety culture of their organization. Antea Group recognized the challenge and confirmed that the client needed on-site support and technical expertise to accomplish tasks related to their health and safety goals. Antea Group also understood that the job market at the time created a demand for EHS professionals. Finding the right candidate that fit the company's culture and had the right level of expertise and experience would take time. To bridge the gap, Antea Group offered our Resources-as-a-Service (RaaS) solution to provide temporary on-site health and safety support for the client’s facilities. 

Through Antea Group’s RaaS solution, we were quickly able to provide a temporary resource to provide on-site support services at the client’s R&D and office facility. This assignment quickly grew to include two more of the client’s locations within the area. Antea Group’s RaaS employee, Jennifer Owens, is an experienced Health and Safety Professional. Her assignment was to provide on-site support to the client two days a week for 12 weeks at the client’s R&D labs, pilot plant operations, and office spaces. During her assignment, Owens evaluated and updated existing policies and procedures, conducted ergonomic assessments, performed monthly inspections, facilitated new hire orientation training, created new policies and procedures, and provided required refresher trainings on a variety of health and safety topics.

Antea Group is not a staffing agency, rather, our RaaS offering allows our clients to bridge the gap with an EHS professional that fits their culture and has the requisite knowledge to provide solutions to our client’s most pressing needs. Having additional on-site support allowed the client’s Corporate EHS Manager to shift their focus from corporate health and safety tasks to food manufacturing health and safety. An indirect result was that the client strengthened their relationships with the food manufacturing team. When asked how our RaaS service helped them achieve their goals, the Corporate EHS Manager had only positive things to say about Antea Group's RaaS employee.
