Favorite Thing About Being an EHS Auditing and Compliance Practitioner:
The broad spectrum of projects that I get to work on, and unique client needs that sometimes require creative problem-solving. I manage and support a lot of projects within our Operational Performance Assurance, Health & Safety Service Lines & Practices
What is the most interesting project you’ve ever worked on?
Assisting a client in the Energy Industry (Utilities) develop their Quality Assurance Program as part of their broader Company Management System. I had a little bit of exposure to Quality in a previous role interfacing with Quality Teams in building out the HSE program at another company. That inevitably led to being thrust into managing and supporting the project after having just joined Antea.
What is a key ingredient for success as an EHS Auditing and Compliance practitioner?
Curiosity as characterized by the boldness to ask questions even if they seem “silly” on the surface. Success for me as a practitioner looks like having a thorough understanding of our clients’ needs, implementing effective ways to meet those needs, and obtaining desired results. Asking questions is the easiest, surest first step to get there.
If you could develop a new solution for EHS Auditing and Compliance, what would it be?
For all practice areas - It would be to continue expanding our existing diversity & inclusion footprint throughout the entire organization, particularly at the collegiate recruitment level.
What TV show character do you identify most with?
This oscillates depending on the day so currently, Uhtred of Babbenburg – “Destiny, is all!”
If you had one month off, where would you go or what would you do?
Travel to various cities around the world and have brunch in each one
Is there something unique that people might not know about you?
I do voiceovers and vocal impressions professionally and have done several voiceovers for a couple of clients on behalf of Antea Group.
