Our Human Rights Policy

Antea USA, Inc. (“the Company”) respects human rights and believes all people should be treated with dignity and respect. The Company is committed to identifying, mitigating, and preventing human rights violations in its business operations, supply chain, and the local communities in which it operates.

The Company’s Human Rights Policy (“Policy”) is committed to respecting all internationally recognized human rights, as set out in the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human RightsThe International Bill of Human Rights (which consists of The Universal Declaration of Human RightsThe International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, and The International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights) and The International Labor Organization’s (ILO) Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work.

Scope

This Policy applies to all Company employees.

The Company’s commitment to human rights also extends to its business affiliates in the Company’s supply chain.

Requirements

Respecting Human Rights in the Workplace

  • Commitment to Prohibition of Modern Slavery
    The Company is committed to a work environment free from all forms of forced labor, human trafficking, and modern slavery. Some forms of coercion that contribute to modern slavery are the withholding of any original copies of employee identification documents, payment of recruitment agency fees by the worker, unreasonable restrictions on the ability of the worker to leave the workplace and find alternative employment, or corporal punishment, physical or psychological abuse, or threats of violence or coercion to secure or keep employees. The Company does not tolerate or condone these activities in any part of its operations or supply chain.
     
  • Commitment to Prohibition of Child Labor
    The Company prohibits child labor as defined by the ILO. The Company respects all applicable laws establishing a minimum age for employment to support the effective abolition of child labor worldwide. The Company also encourages the development of learning programs tied to the formal education of young people.
     
  • Commitment to Employees’ Rights
    The Company respects employees’ rights to freedom of association without fear of reprisal, intimidation, or harassment. The Company is committed to compensating employees with a living and fair wage. The Company works to ensure full compliance with applicable wage, work hours, overtime, and benefits laws.
     
  • ​​​Commitment to a Safe and Healthy Workplace
    The Company is dedicated to maintaining a safe, healthy, and productive workplace by minimizing the risk of accidents, injury, and exposure to health risks. The Company maintains a workplace free from violence, harassment, intimidation, or other unsafe conditions due to internal or external threats.
     
  • Commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
    The Company is committed to fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive work environment where everyone is treated with respect and dignity. Every employee has the right to work in a professional atmosphere that promotes equal employment opportunities and prohibits unlawful discriminatory practices, including harassment. Harassment on the basis of race, religious creed, color, national origin, ancestry, disability, medical condition, genetic information, marital status, sex, gender identity, gender expression, age, sexual orientation, military and veteran status, or any other legally protected category is unacceptable behavior and will not be tolerated.

Respecting People’s Rights, Including Land, Water, and Resources

The Company is committed to respecting the rights of individuals belonging to groups of populations that may be at heightened risk of becoming vulnerable or marginalized, including but not limited to indigenous people, women, children, and migrant workers.

The Company is committed to respecting the human rights that affect communities’ livelihoods and health.

The Company is committed to collaboratively working with clients, suppliers, and local communities to improve environmental, social, and ethical standards and comply with all applicable environmental laws.

Community and Stakeholder Engagement

The Company recognizes that it is part of the communities in which it operates. Where appropriate, the Company engages with external stakeholders, including but not limited to clients, suppliers, and local communities on human rights issues related to the Company’s business operations. The Company strives to use its position of influence and stakeholder relationships to promote and support human rights initiatives.

Grievance and Remediation

The Company is committed to providing accessible, equitable, and transparent grievance mechanisms and encourages employees to report and express their concerns relating to the Company’s business operations and suspected violations of Company policies to the Company’s Human Resources department or Chief People Officer.

The Company prohibits retaliation against anyone who, in good faith, reports or expresses concerns about the Company’s business operations or suspected violations of Company policies.

In the event the Company’s business operations are suspected of causing or contributing to human rights violations, the Company will investigate, address, and respond to the concerns raised and take appropriate corrective action. We are committed to providing for or cooperating in remediation for affected individuals and communities through legitimate processes where it has been identified that the Company has caused or contributed to adverse impacts.

Governance

This Policy has been approved by the Company’s Executive Leadership Team. The Company’s Chief People Officer is primarily responsible for the Company’s performance in human rights policy alignment throughout the organization, with the ultimate accountability resting with the Company’s Executive Leadership Team.

Training

All Company employees receive human rights-related training in their role.

Reporting

The Company is committed to tracking and reporting progress on an annual basis through sustainability reports.
