Antea Group was retained to provide environmental, health and safety (EHS) management services for an audio equipment manufacturer in support of closure of a large manufacturing facility in the Southeastern US.
Duties included waste management inspections and shipping supervision, inspections of fire suppression equipment and petroleum storage tanks, as well as Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure (SPCC) and Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) training. Antea Group also provided advice on various environmental concerns and best practices for EHS document inventory, retention and disposal. Post-closure services will include permit closures and a final environmental walk-through to ready the property for sale.
The client is able to walk away from the facility with the knowledge that EHS issues will not be a barrier to the future use/sale of the property, and with the knowledge that they have assessed and dealt with potential EHS liabilities associated with the operations.
