Each year, thousands of terminal industry professionals meet in Houston at ILTA's (International Liquid Terminals Association) annual international operating conference and trade show in order to network with peers, share best practices, find solutions and learn about the latest in equipment and technology. The 2017 conference speakers will examine strategies for improving operational efficiency, promoting worker safety, managing terminals and achieving regulatory compliance. Following the conference, attendees can visit with almost 350 companies at ILTA's 2017 trade show, including Antea Group.
We’re excited to dig into the speakers and educational sessions, and always love how well this event covers everything from practical applications and regulations, to lessons learned, to looking towards the future. We’re also excited about ILTA’s Spanish sessions, and are looking forward to catching up with current clients (and maybe meet some new friends) at our exhibition booth.
Educational Sessions (and Virtual Reality!)
Aside from being participants in the conference, Antea Group is excited to be presenting several sessions. Sessions 1 and 2 will be in Spanish, but we are happy to provide all information in English as well, if requested.
Focus on Latin America
- We’ll be facilitating an open forum leading for terminal operators and industry suppliers on the common challenges that affect operations in Latin America. Through different examples, panelists and audience members will share their viewpoints on improving operational efficiencies, minimizing product losses, and maintaining flexibility. This session will be moderated by Antea Group International Marketing Advisor Liliana Cruz, with experts from Phillips 66, HMT and Demaco, among others.
Best Practices in Fire Protection
- Companies are becoming more sophisticated in implementing the NFPA 25 standard as a best practice for heavy industries, resulting in increased efficiencies in their inspection, testing, and maintenance activities. Antea Group has supported several major players in the oil & gas business to help them optimize their inspection, testing, and maintenance (ITM) systems while implementing the NFPA 25-- to share this experience, Antea Group Project Manager Rene Sloof will present on “Fire Protection Equipment Inspection, Testing and Maintenance: An Overview of NFPA 25.” The presentation will contain lessons learned implementing a NFPA 25 ITM system, and also how to optimize this system without losing quality. It will also look into apps that Antea Group has developed to use Augmented Reality for ITM purposes, making it possible to inspect fire protection equipment using smart glasses.
ISO 14001: A Primer
- Major oil and gas companies have progressively moved toward ISO 14001 certification or the implementation of a management system based on the standard, which can enable them to comply with environmental standards and demonstrate their commitment to reducing their environmental impacts in daily operations. Antea Group Consultant Francisco Cordero will present ““The Importance of Implementing an Environmental Management System” where participants will learn how to better prepare to conform to the standard and how to better present the business case to their management for investing in this type of management system implementation, linking their environmental commitments with their business and market segment goals.
