I am a scientist and consultant and am passionate about protecting people, property, and the environment. I grew up in Melbourne, Australia and now live in Houston, Texas where I enjoy running, swimming and biking, bushwalking (hiking), cooking, and aquaponics. I can also whip up a balloon animal should the need arise...
FAVORITE THING ABOUT BEING AN ENVIRONMENTAL M&A PRACTITIONER:
My favorite part is getting to see the inner workings of different industries, from chocolate factories (yes… I do have a sweet tooth), pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities, and laboratories across a vast geographical footprint.
WHAT ARE THE MOST INTERESTING PROJECTS YOU HAVE WORKED ON?
Fulfilling the role of project manager on a $3.1 billion-dollar acquisition of a large specialty chemical company, completing a six-month secondment at a large pharmaceutical company, undertaking a Hazmat assessment in Papua New Guinea, and managing an international due diligence assessment for 42 agricultural sites located throughout Australia.
WHAT AREA(S) OF ENVIRONMENTAL M&A CONSULTING ARE YOU MOST INTERESTED IN, AND WHY?
Multi-site transactions, Phase I ESA with compliance reviews, and preparing financial estimates of reporting liabilities. I enjoy this as it plays to my strengths and adds a ton of value to our clients.
WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE PART OF YOUR JOB?
My favorite part of my job is getting repeat work. I love building a trusted advisor relationship with our clients.
WHAT DO YOU CONSIDER YOUR BIGGEST PROFESSIONAL ACHIEVEMENT SO FAR?
One of my biggest achievements is developing an environmental practice up the east coast of Australia.
